Women's Soccer Concludes Spring With Successful Alumni WeekendNew Mexico women's soccer recently concluded the spring with an exciting alumni weekend. The Lobos hosted one of the most successful fundraising events of the year Friday night with games and an opportunity for past and current Lobos to gather. 182 Lobos Honored For Work In The ClassroomThe University of New Mexico Athletics Department recently honored 182 Lobo student-athletes at the Fifth Annual Student-Athlete Academic Awards Celebration. Student-athletes were recognized for excellence in the classroom by maintaining a 3.20 or higher cumulative grade point average and excellence as active members of their team. 16 student-athletes are currently maintaining a 4.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.4/1/2008
Lobo Soccer Provides Free Clinics For Albuquerque YouthThe New Mexico men's and women's soccer teams recently provided four free clinics to members of local leagues and clubs. The clinics provided area members of the U9-U14 a chance to play and interact with UNM soccer athletes. The clinics were held at the Robertson Training Facility.2/13/2008

UNM Women's Soccer Signs 13 To National Letters of IntentNew Mexico women's soccer head coach Kit Vela announced the signing of 13 student-athletes to national letters of intent on Thursday. The Lobos welcome five players from the states of New Mexico and California, while adding one each from Arizona, Colorado and Utah. Vela adds 13 standouts to an already talented roster and adds depth for 2008. |
