182 Lobos Honored For Work In The ClassroomThe University of New Mexico Athletics Department recently honored 182 Lobo student-athletes at the Fifth Annual Student-Athlete Academic Awards Celebration. Student-athletes were recognized for excellence in the classroom by maintaining a 3.20 or higher cumulative grade point average and excellence as active members of their team. 16 student-athletes are currently maintaining a 4.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.4/17/2008
UNM Women's Basketball Holds Yearly Awards BanquetNew Mexico women's basketball held its annual Bank of the West banquet Thursday night at the Hotel Albuquerque located in Old Town. Members of the 2008 MWC Championship team joined over 700 supporters to celebrate another successful season for the Lobos. Head coach Don Flanagan and seniors Dionne Marsh and Brandi Kimble all gave speeches and the team awards were announced.4/11/2008
Dionne Marsh Invited To Training Camp With Sacramento MonarchsNew Mexico senior Dionne Marsh has been invited to training camp with the Sacramento Monarchs. Marsh, who recently competed at the pre-draft camp, will battle for an opportunity to make the roster and sign a free agent contact. Marsh will join 18 players trying to make the final 11 spots on the Monarchs roster. Training camp for Sacramento is scheduled to open on April 20.4/1/2008

Dionne Marsh Invited To WNBA Pre-Draft CampNew Mexico senior women's basketball player Dionne Marsh has been invited to participate in the WNBA pre-draft camp held on April 4th at the University of Tampa. Marsh was personally invited by the Carolyn Jenkins the WNBA Director of Personnel and is one of approximately 40 top global prospects at the event. Marsh will enter the draft set for April 9 and looks to become the first Lobo drafted since 2003. |
