Men's Basketball Alumni Gathering Photo Gallery

Last night our program invited local alumni men's basketball players to attend a private practice and afterwards we had a chance to meet some of the past Lobo greats. As you can see from the photo gallery above, our alumni got a chance to see the Rudy Davalos Basketball Center and watch us prepare for the Bahamas trip. Ron Nelson, Rob Robbins, George Scott, Kelvin Scarborough, Lewis LaMar, Lanny Winters, and many others attended the practice. Mike Roberts, the Voice of The Lobos, was there and he knows about every alumni that has played. It was great to see the interaction between the alumni and our current players. It was great to some former Lobos back in the building, close to 35 in all. It is important to have a strong relationship with the alumni and it definitely helps our young men understand and appreciate those who paved the way for the tradition of Lobo Basketball. We hope to continue to build on this function and have many more. If you are a Lobo men's basketball alumni in this area, please contact Yolanda Rodriguez at 925-5750 and give her your updated information so we get accurate contact information.

Lastly, we are working as we prepare for the Bahamas Trip and will be leaving Friday morning. You can follow up and see pictures of the trip on www.GoLobos.com, just click on the Bahamas Trip link located on the bottom left of the main page. Below is a shot of Tony Danridge and former Lobo great Ron Nelson. I just want to say thanks to Ron and all of the alumni who were able to make it out Monday night. If you are an alumni and missed the event, don't worry, we will do it again once the season arrives.
