One of the premier javelin throwers in the region who just missed a spot in the NCAA Championship field in 2007...will also be one of the favorites for the MWC title this spring with continued improvement...2-time Midwest Regional finalist and has thrown over 210 feet 4 times in his career.

2007: (outdoor) Finished 7th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships (Des Moines) for the 2nd straight year with a mark of 205-06...led the MWC with a career-best throw of 217-10 (66.39m) in the season-opener at Arizona State...mark was ranked 30th nationally and 7th in the region...6th at the MWC Championships with a mark of 194-02 - his first throw under 200 feet since his collegiate debut in '06...had thrown over 202 feet in 7 straight meets prior to the MWC Championships...4 top-3 finishes, including a win at the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque (208-09)...threw 213-05 in a 6th place finish at UC-San Diego.

2006: (outdoor) Outstanding rookie season, finishing year with a seventh place performance - two spots above his seed - at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships (206-03)...was the first freshman ever to score for the UNM men at the regional meet...finished 6th at the MWC Championships (201-02)...competed in the javelin 7 times and had a season-best throw of 213-09 in a home win at the Don Kirby Invite...also won at UC-San Diego and USC...5 top-3 finishes on the year.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A 2004 graduate of Albuquerque Highland High School...three-time class 5A javelin champion...set the state meet record with a throw of 207-06 as a senior, helping to lead head coach Gary Sanchez' Hornets to the 2005 team title...runner-up at the Great Southwest Classic and Golden West Invitational meets during the summer of `05...won the javelin at the 2004 Great Southwest Classic...ranked eighth in the country as a senior with a state record mark of 212-04...all-metro and 2nd team all-state selection at linebacker...North-South All-Star football game participant...also an honorably mention all-state pick in basketball.
